With a new, large digital project underway, I’m interested in tools and techniques for effective user interactivity. (underline and highlight “effective”) Options for people to post personal memories, share digital copies of materials from their family collections, assist with transcription of documents, and even generate discussions around broader topics.
While we’ve done a lot in terms of digitization over the years, we have not done anything in terms of user participation. I want to be sure that things are easy/low barriers to interact, and that the interface facilitates well the types of interaction being encouraged.
